A man was hospitalized after being shot at a bar in Baytown Monday morning.
Police responded to a shooting around 2:30 a.m. in the 100 block of West Texas Avenue, according to Baytown police public information officer Ana Fernandez.
Investigators said the male suspect arrived at the bar and approached a female bartender. Surveillance video captured the suspect speaking with the male victim near the business’s rear door.
The victim was seen trying to get the suspect to leave the location, police said. The suspect then pulled out a weapon and shot the victim.
There was only one shooting victim. Life Flight transported him to Memorial Hermann for treatment. His condition has not been released.
Investigators confirmed that he was the only person shot during the incident.
Police have since cleared the scene, but the suspect remains at large.
Authorities have not released a description of the suspect or said what led to the confrontation.
